Homemade Mint Chocolate Truffle Recipe

Fresh Mint Truffles are rich, smooth chocolate truffles infused with the refreshing taste of fresh mint leaves. I like to top mine with crunchy coat of white chocolate.   but if you are going to eat them within a day, you can omit the candying step, or you can top them with any other decorations you'd like..

Here is my recipe:

Ingredients required:

1/3 cup tbsp heavy cream
1 cup  semi-sweet chocolate
Mint Essence
White chocolate for coating

Procedure:

Step 1:
Bring the cream just to the boil in a pan.

Step 2: Turn off the heat and stir in the chocolate.

Step 3: Stir until melted, then add 2 tbsp butter and peppermint essence.

Step 4: Cool, then chill until the mixture is solid, about 2-3 hrs.

Step 5: Scoop out teaspoons of the mixture and roll into small walnut-size balls with your hands.

Step 5: Dip it into white chocolate for white chocolate coating.

Step 6: Top it with fresh mint leaves or vermicelli or dark chocolate.

Step 7: Refrigerate it for 15 minutes. Your truffles are ready!!

Wrap these Chocolate Mint Truffles in a festive package and these creamy delights will be a hit around the holidays. But save a few for yourself -- you won't be able to resist!
